- E-Content – They did not meet
- Youth Services – They did not meet
- Cataloging – The meeting scheduled for August but might be moved it November.
- Circulation/Borrower Services
- They met on 8-5-25 and minutes were sent out
- They discussed damaged items, checking stat class when address changes, SIRSI off-line procedures, and homebound patron card
- Adult Services – The next meeting is scheduled for 9/2/25 at 2:00 p.m.
- DEIA – They met on 8/13/25 and discussed the future of the group

- They met on 5/23/25
- The next meeting scheduled for 9/26/25, 10:30 a.m. at Seminole Community Library
- Old Business
- Gale Legal Forms – discussion about Gale Legal Forms at last meeting. Michelle Howard provided some insights and she followed up with Gale Legal Forms on questions on Florida specific forms (7/14/25). Libraries that currently have it gave input on usage. Glenn made motion requesting Cheryl get a cooperative proposal, Phyllis seconded. St. Petersburg allocation is more than group pricing. Clearwater as second largest system has limited interest. Cheryl will follow up with Gale with pricing and bring back to LDAC at next meeting.
- Adding FEL to Sirsi – motion to add FEL data to SIRSI. Cheryl asked for pause as we awaited FEL funding. Glenn reached out to Division and FEL is funded through 6/2026. Glenn would like to revisit. David McMurrin asked if Dino had input. Dino created test in enterprise file and shared screen to demonstrate. Determined it could be mobile viewed. Dino weighed it down so it could come further in the results. Glen asked if we could review and discuss at next meeting since feature is a little different from originally discussed. - New Business
- Discussion of CSLP 2026 (Lois) – discussion on summer and put on next agenda for follow up. Attend Public Library Directors Monthly Virtual Conference on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at 3pm
- Election for LDAC
- David shared information from by-laws – August is month to make selections for officers.
- Slate discussed: Chair (Glenn), Vice-Chair (Phyllis), Secretary (Matthew)
- Lisa made a motion to accept the slate and Casey seconded; motion carried
- Connectivity with WorkFlows (Stanley) – having workflows connectivity issues 2/3 times a day. Checking if Spectrum. Did survey of other libraries and no one else having repeated connectivity issues. Everyone gave ideas.
- PPLC Topics
- The spreadsheet is being updated for cooperative libraries with annual costs for databases and the countywide OverDrive account. Everyone needs to send contribution amount for Overdrive to Cheryl. Also, let her know which ones you want to keep or no longer subscribe to.
- PPLC Board Meeting Update
- Collaborative Labs hosted a strategic plan discussion. There will be further discussion on 9/24/25, 9am to 3:30pm, at Collaborative Labs to work on the PPLC five-year plan. Cheryl will send out invite. Here is a link to the current plan.
- Public Comment – None
- Announcements from PPLC Libraries
- Clearwater
- City did call for proposals to reimagine uses for the Main Library building. There are 5 or 6 proposals at committee level. City Council will receive proposals and make decision.
- FY 25/26 – budget reduction: 8.5%. No weekend services at Main, and Countryside closed on Sundays.
- Dunedin
- Finished 2nd budget workshop, COOP plan, and mural with Fire Department.
- East Lake
- Budget will be finalized in September – planning for status quo
- Denise M. retiring after many years – open position for senior position/cataloging.
- Passport event planned for 8/23/25
- Starting design phase two for expansion
- Gulf Beaches
- Summer programs were successful.
- Hazard mitigation working at their library since flood – channel locks
- Budget submitted – flat
- Largo
- City work session tomorrow 8/12/25.
- Celebrated 20th anniversary of library building and Casey’s work anniversary as Director.
- Unveiled the Largo Literacy Tree; the first donor was Karen Roth, she was a member of PPLC board who made generous donation.
- Showcased draft of children’s activity wall.
- Oldsmar
- There is construction next door (townhome neighborhood)
- The Historical Society collection coming to the Library; Communications moving to City Hall; started building out the space for the historical collection, which will open sometime in December
- Palm Harbor
- PHL hosted and supported events/festivities celebrating 100 years of Palm Harbor in collaboration with Palm Harbor Main Street Association
- Hosting Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings events throughout August 2025
- Pinellas Park
- Library repainted
- Finished summer reading program with a higher level of completion (20%)
- Safety Harbor
- Lisa’s last day is 9/30/25; new Director to be named this week
- Second floor completions are complete with AC and can close out construction grant
- Mystery Dinner Theatre event (fundraiser with the Foundation) will be held 9/12/25
- The Glazer Museum is raising their prices for entry
- St. Petersburg
- Obama Main Library is getting furniture and computers installed; opening is getting closer, but a date has not been determined
- Seminole
- Fully staffed first time in some time!
- Tarpon Springs
- Renovation closure will be the last week of August
September meeting - September 8, 2025 at PPLC 1:30pm – lunch will be served.
