February is all about connection, and PPLC Member Libraries are great places to find it!
People stop at their local libraries for all kinds of reasons. Some are looking for help during tax season, with free tax preparation assistance available at select libraries. Others come to celebrate, learn, or simply spend time together, which they can do this month at programs inspired by Valentine’s Day, Lunar New Year, or Black History Month.
No matter the reason for your visit, your local Pinellas public library is a welcoming place to land. It’s where questions are welcome, help is easy to find, and there’s no pressure to know exactly what you’re looking for. You might come in for something practical and leave with a great book, a new idea, or a deeper connection to your community.
You may also leave with something unexpected! In addition to books and digital resources, many locations lend items that might surprise you, like musical instruments, Toniebox sets, WiFi hotspots, tools, bike locks, board games, and puzzles. These collections make it easier to try something new, share an activity with family or friends, or solve a short-term need without having to buy something you’ll only use once.
No matter how you choose to spend your time at the library this month, we’re glad you’re here. Look through the program guide to see what’s happening at your Pinellas public library and find a few more reasons to love your library.
February is also a great time to share that love! Please reach out to your City, County, and State elected officials to let them know how much you love your library. Find your County Commissioner, and your state representatives. They need to hear from you today, and tomorrow, and the next day. Thank you for loving your library!!
