Amy Johnson will speak on DLIS, Kelly Doty(sp) will talk on TBPLC, Cheryl will speak on PPLC. Keynote is by Andrew Sanderbek on Bias. Discussion of scheduling director’s breakout sessions. Suggestion that we should pick some topics and do short work sessions on those topics so we can all cover them. Hiring well, keeping staff and retention, and getting ppl back in libraries, were the main topics. Gene suggested 2 hours, the first hour on hiring well, and the second hour and talk about retention. Gene will work on what that looks like after suggestions from everyone. Best practices should be a focus rather then personal narratives. Cheryl will ask Andrew for a short presentation on hiring well and reataining good staff.
