Speak Up for Your Library!

Public libraries are among the most used public services in our community. Funding decisions made at the county level directly impact the services residents rely on every day. If you value your library, now is the time to say so.

Libraries Strengthen Our Community

Across our Member Libraries, residents count on:

      • Free internet and Wi-Fi
      • Early literacy programs and storytimes
      • Homework help and study space
      • Technology and job search support
      • Meeting space for community groups
      • Access to trusted information

For many, the library is the only place to apply for jobs, print documents, learn new skills, or spend time in a safe, welcoming environment. Libraries expand opportunity and connect people to the resources they need.

How Funding Supports Access

The Pinellas Public Library Cooperative (PPLC) coordinates library services and funding among Member Library cities and Pinellas County. County funding supports shared services and ensures residents of unincorporated Pinellas County can access full library services without paying an annual non-resident fee. This partnership keeps services strong and accessible countywide.

Your Voice Matters

County commissioners make funding decisions that affect library services throughout the county. They need to hear from residents who use and value those services.

Take a few minutes to contact your county commissioner and share:

  • How often you use your library
  • Which services matter most to you
  • Why continued county support is important
