Children practice their developing literacy skills by reading aloud to a therapy dog, accompanied by an animal handler. Bring your own books or borrow one from the library to read! We welcome the Hearts of Gold therapy team to our program! This local organization brings the healing power of canine companionship to communities throughout mid-Florida. They are recognized by the American Kennel Club (AKC) to certify dog-handler teams for canine therapy work and bring furry friends ready to listen to stories from all readers.
