The Memoir Blueprint: How to Stop Overthinking and Start Writing with Kerry Kriseman

August 30 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

The Memoir Blueprint: How to Stop Overthinking and Start Writing is a practical, inspiring workshop for aspiring authors who are tired of circling their story and ready to finally begin. In this powerful session, you’ll learn a simple 3-part framework to uncover your core story, identify the defining moments that matter most, and write with clarity, confidence, and purpose. You’ll leave with a clear roadmap to start your memoir—and the courage to trust your voice on the page. Participants should come prepared with a notepad and pen or laptop for taking notes and doing a short writing exercise.

Kerry Kriseman is a St. Petersburg, Florida native. She is the author of Accidental First Lady: On the Front Lines (and Behind the Scenes) of Local Politics, her memoir that provides a rare, unfiltered look into life of a 22-year political spouse. Kerry teaches memoir writing through her course, Make Memoir Magic, at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institutes at USF-St. Pete and Eckerd College.
